Where the beautiful Biloxi Back Bay meets the Mississippi Sound of the Gulf of Mexico, the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd took the message of Jesus to the 35th Annual Biloxi Seafood Festival.
For three years in a row, Good Shepherd has participated in the festival. Congregational members took shifts in greeting festival-goers by being the ears and mouth of Jesus. In addition to handing out God’s Word, members were available to share and pray with anyone who might need a moment to unwind and have someone to talk to. Members also handed out fans, keychain flashlights, and pens with the church’s web address and phone number. The Men’s Group took the opportunity to hand out smoke detectors that they had purchased, to anyone who needed one. The church considers this to be an outreach opportunity. Everyone involved had fun, and the event was considered a great success. To God be all the glory!
