The people at St. Paul’s in Foley, AL, have been very busy this spring.
Many of the staff, officers and members have been involved in important life saving training that will be useful at church, home and in public. The newly formed Safety and Medical Team has had classes in CPR (Basic First Aid Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Many have received a two-year certification from the American Heart Association after completing the training. A team has also received training in preparation for disaster and safety issues and will begin implementing them soon. They have already put some of the medical training to use when a member attending church had a medical emergency and needed medical attention. We are all thankful for their foresight in recognizing the need to prepare for emergencies.
The LWML (Lutheran Women’s Missionary League) and quilting/crafting group has met to make Chrismons for the next Christmas season and also to make charity quilts for local needs.
