On August 12th, 27 folks met at Our Redeemer in Clinton, MS, for a morning of Lutheran Early Response Team Training (LERT).
Eight members of the group were from Christ Lutheran. Rev. Ed Brashier, Director of Shepherd’s Heart Disaster Ministry, and Southern District Disaster Response Coordinator, conducted the training. The training included congregational preparedness, ministry opportunities, and home disaster preparedness. The group will pursue training in other areas in the future. We hope to be better prepared to show Christ’s love to the community when a disaster strikes. Many thanks to all who made this training possible!
