A disaster relief team from Atonement in Metairie, LA, departed for Panama City at the beginning of November. Their mission: to impact lives through Christ—specifically, to love and aid those affected by Hurricane Michael.
Although heartbroken to see the devastation, the team was blessed and uplifted by seeing God’s love in the midst of destruction. The team brought a truckload of food and supplies with them to Panama City.
Over their three-day mission trip, the team engaged in devotional and prayer time to sustain them through the physical labor and emotional moments. The team witnessed their faith to the Panama City community, and they also heard amazing testimony from those whom they served. Seeing the long road ahead for Hurricane Michael recovery, Atonement looks forward to additional short-term mission trips, continuing to impact lives through Christ in Panama City.
