St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Elberta, AL, was thankful to have a successful VBS in June that reached many children in the community, in addition to the church’s children.
The theme was “Mighty Fortress,” from CPH, which focused on God being our refuge and strength, our rock and our salvation. The students gathered $196 for Concordia’s Gospel Outreach, “Sharing God’s Mighty Word,” which will provide books that tell God’s story to children who have not yet heard it. A Thrivent Action Grant was used to provide materials and supplies for the week of VBS.
