News from St. Paul’s – Foley

The quilting and craft group of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Foley, AL, had the opportunity to honor one of our veterans, Mr. Uel McCullar, for his services to our country by presenting him with a patriotic quilt made by our ladies.

We were also privileged to have our youngest friend, 3-year old Jonah, join us at the veterans home, and he entertained several of the veterans by playing balloon toss. There was much laughter and many smiles. After the visitation, all the ladies and Jonah enjoyed more fellowship and lunch at the Stagecoach Cafe.

The latest project of the quilting and craft group is to make 200 cloth bears for the Camp Dixie Lutheran Bible Camp. The bears are needed for the craft projects at the camp where the kids will stuff the bears and add facial features and other decorations. We give God thanks for the opportunity to serve in both of these ministries and pray that it will bless the recipients.
