Gulf States LWML Fall Retreat

Eighty-seven ladies from the Gulf States District LWML descended upon Camp Dixie in Josephine, AL, October 5-7, for a much needed retreat.

Cherie Endrihs, District LWML First Vice President from Christ the King Lutheran Church, Enterprise, AL, led Deb Burma’s Bible study: “Sip, Savor and Drink Deeply.” The weekend was full of activities apart from the study as the women played games, did yoga, designed prayer journals and coffee cups. There was plenty of coffee, snacks, and laughter. Lydia Landes from Grace, Destin, FL, displayed her musical talents as she led the singing and praising portion of the retreat. A campfire Saturday night complete with s’mores, as well as a church service on the beach Sunday morning led by Rev. Mark Kuehnert, added to the retreat. Gifts from the Heart items were donated to benefit Camp Dixie Outdoor Ministries. The ladies made new friends, reconnected with old, and had time to “renew and refill their cups” prior to departing for home on Sunday afternoon.
