Youth from Immanuel in Pensacola, FL, recently assisted with a monthly chicken dinner at Camp Dixie. In addition, teens and adults from Immanuel joined other area Lutherans for a Camp Dixie Work Day.
Also pictured is a group of men from Immanuel and Redeemer in Pensacola, in a meeting where they study God’s Word and the Lutheran Confessions on a monthly basis.
St. Jude’s By the Sea in Gulf Shores, AL, had a special event for the snowbirds – a “Pleasure Island Luau!”
This winter has found St. Paul’s in Foley, AL, alive with the sound of music as they now have a choir director. Sarah Schrader has formed an adult choir and a children’s choir, and they have been singing at the church service occasionally.
The LWML of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in New Orleans, LA, serves in gladness – feeding dinner to an estimated thirty volunteers from Camp Restore on Wednesday, February 8. This was the day after a tornado hit the community of New Orleans East. Camp Restore was spared the devastating destruction that destroyed homes as close as three blocks from camp.
