Our Redeemer in Florence, Alabama, completed the 2016-2017 weekly Bible study session on May 2. The topics studied in this session were the Gospel of Luke, the book of Acts, the 12 minor prophets, and short resumes of each of the apostles. Regular attendees included four LCMS lay people, two LCMS pastors, one Roman Catholic, two United Methodists, one LCMC member, one Episcopalian, one Chinese Christian, and one unchurched person who attended most of the sessions and who was baptized at the end of April. The session was led by Betty and Tony Mabrey, and they look forward to a new class in the fall.

The quilting and craft group of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Foley, AL, had the opportunity to honor one of our veterans, Mr. Uel McCullar, for his services to our country by presenting him with a patriotic quilt made by our ladies.
